After an early start harvesting salad leaves the Keveral Vege Boxes and the Taste Cornwall shop we set to work on framing the doors of the propogation tunnel. Last year propogation of transplants took place in a corner of the main growing tunnel. This year propogation will take place in a separate tunnel which is situated closer the the barn and mobile home. Once the wooden frame is constructed we will be ready to put the plastic on.
Meanwhile Dan, Anthony and Becky have been making steady progress putting the cladding on the polebarn.
All the plywood is on the roof and ready to be covered with plastic. In front of the barn is a newly constructed hedgebank planted with hazel, oak, hawthorn. Soon it will also be planted with three Cornish apple trees that will be pruned as standards.
