Thank you

Thank you to everyone who wrote letters of support for my planning appeal. At the recent public inquiry a government planning inspector overturned Caradon District Council and granted planning permission for residential use of the mobile home at Trevalon. He also extended the time the shipping container is allowed to stay on site to 12 months, to allow time to obtain planning permission for a permanent packing barn. Caradon District Council where also seeking the removal of the mobile home being used as an office and rest room, but the inspector decided that this structure did not need planning permission and could remain.

Pushing ahead

After a year of uncertainty, due to the planning enforcement, success at the planning appeal means I can now push ahead with establishing the business. In the last month we have erected two more polytunnels, which means the protected cropping space is now 600m2. This week we are planting the newly erected tunnels with potatoes and carrots which will be ready to harvest Christmas or new year.

Pole Barn now in use

The pole barn has now got walls and a roof, and is being used for storage and as a workshop. Lack of funds means that we are not yet able to afford doors or put in the floor upstairs. We hope that work will continue in the spring.
