Mangetout Soup - For Mangetout which have become Peas!

Great recipe for Mangetout which have decided to turn into fully blown peas without asking first!
Shell your peas and drop them into a pan of boiling salted water, simmer them for 2 - 3 minutes. Add some fresh mint to the cooking water if you like! Plunge the peas into cold water and drain them, saving their water! Meanwhile top and tail the pods and cook them (in just enough boiling water to cover them) for about five minutes or so until tender. Tip the pods and their cooking water into a food processor or blender and 'zuzz' them up for a while .... until you can push them through a sieve. You will have a nice thick bright green pulp now. Sieve the pod puree discard any pea pod pulp which will not go through your sieve! Rinse out your processor and add the sieved pod pulp, cooked peas and their water together and blend again. Return to a pan, and adjust the thickness with water or milk, bring briefly to boiling point and reduce the heat immediately. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add a little cream or creme fraiche and stir to warm through gently. Delicious with a few tiny crispy pieces of organic bacon on the top, some paprika and fresh warm bread.
