Trevalon Open Day
You are all invited to Trevalon open day for an organic celebration
On Sunday 16th September 2007 you are invited to Trevalon open day which coincides with organic fortnight . It is also a celebration of Trevalon completing the two years of organic conversion and the first year of the box scheme.
Working Horse demonstrations
Brian will be with our two working horses Bill and Ben and will be demonstrating how they help with growing the vegetables. They will be spreading compost using the Millcreek ground driven muck-spreader, weeding vegetables using the I&J cultivator and ploughing a new vegetable plot with a traditional plough.
Guided tours
At regular intervals throughout the day Mark will be conducting guided tours around the farm, taking in the new barn construction, vegetable plots, polytunnels, meadows, new tree planting, spring and the proposed pond. He will be talking about the history of Trevalon, how we grow the vegetables organically, what is being done on the farm to attract wildlife and about future plans for the farm.
Wood sculpture workshops
Local artist Nic Ridley will be running two workshops for children making wood sculptures. They will run from 10-30 till 12-30 and from 1-30 till 3.30. For more information and to book in advance please ring Kath Revell on 01752 851091
